Hot Stone Massage

A hot stone massage is a type of massage that uses heated stones, typically basalt, to help relax muscles, improve circulation, and relieve tension. Therapists place the warmed stones on specific areas of the body and may also use them to perform deep tissue or Swedish massage techniques. This combination of heat and pressure helps soothe muscle aches, reduce stress, and promote a sense of deep relaxation.

Benefits of Hot Stone Massage include:

  • Relieves muscle tension: The heat from the stones penetrates deep into muscles, helping to melt away tension and soothe aches and pains.

  • Improves circulation: The heat helps stimulate blood flow, which can relieve stiffness and deliver oxygen-rich blood to congested tissues.

  • Reduces stress: The deep warmth and gentle pressure promote a profound sense of relaxation and can help reduce stress and anxiety.

  • Increases flexibility and mobility: By relaxing the muscles, hot stone massages can lead to better joint mobility and flexibility.

  • Pain relief: It can be beneficial for chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia and arthritis.
